During the early days of the Methodist movement, John and Charles Wesley set up a large network of small groups.  These groups met often to help one another grow in the faith. “Do No Harm, Do Good, and Love God” are representative of the spiritual disciplines the early Methodists practiced.

Here at First UMC Bad Axe, we find that these historic practices are as important now as they were then. Since 1993, the mission statement of the United Methodist Church has been to:

Make Disciples of Jesus Christ for the Transformation of the World

On November 2nd, 2003 Bad Axe First United Methodist Church adopted the following vision statement concerning how we will answer the call to make disciples:

First United Methodist Church of Bad Axe will be a dynamic, inclusive, balanced, and Christ-centered church with members dedicated to growing spiritually and helping others to do so by sharing Christ with everyone we encounter.
