There are no exclusively "United Methodist" beliefs. We have no creeds
or affirmations that are not also believed by other Christian groups. We
do, however, have certain distinctive emphases. United Methodists
traditionally proclaim the following: *The availability of
God's grace to all. *Salvation is found in Jesus Christ, the Son of God,
who died for our sins, and then later, was resurrected. *The church is a
community of faithful believers who meet regularly to express their love
for God and one another. *Knowledge of God and serving God go
hand-in-hand. *God calls us to seek holiness of heart and life, and also
to reach out in concern and service to the world.
