United Methodist Men's Group of Bad Axe, Michigan

During our UMM Men's Group Breakfast Program on October 14, 2007,
Robin Zurek presented a slide show presentation on
microcars and other unique and rare vehicles.

Here are some examples.
At the bottom of the page are addresses to the Museums where these vehicles are located
and web site links so you can see more pictures if you are interested.

This is a One of a Kind Reproduction of a 1952 Citroen Cogolin.
These were originally produced in France to solve a problem for fire and rescue vehicles.
Vehicles would go up long narrow mountain roads and not be able to turn around.
So, they would have to backup sometimes for several miles in reverse with a man and a flashlight.
They solved this problem basically by welding 2 front halves of a vehicle together.
There are 2 engines and 2 transmissions. To go in the opposite direction,
you would shut off the engine, hop out of the vehicle, go around to the opposite side,
start up that enging and drive in the opposite direction.

While we were there, the owner took this vehicle for a drive in Nashville, TN.
It really turns heads when you see this vehicle going down the road.
Especially, if you are behind it, looking at the front of a vehicle doing in the opposite direction.
